Project Manager

 

Role: The Project Manager oversees language-based projects, coordinating client requests and linguistic resources. The project manager is expected to execute projects cost-effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with our quality standards. This will involve the effective coordination of in-house and external suppliers as well as technology resources.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of project plans and estimates
  • Coordination of human and technical resources to achieve the successful completion of projects and jobs
  • Effective use of translation memory and terminology tools, as well as DTP applications
  • Supplier negotiation
  • Quality control of project output
  • Meeting client deadlines

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Customer service experience and strong communication skills are essential
  • Excellent process/project/people management skills
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Technical skills with an interest in learning new tools and technologies
  • Self-motivated & flexible, able to work in a variety of roles in a rapidly changing environment
  • Solution focused with the ability to plan ahead
  • Knowledge of a foreign language an advantage

 

Technical Services Manager

 

Role: The Technical Services Manager oversees ParlExperts’ technical services functions, including engineering, testing, publishing, and multimedia. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ParlExperts' technical and multimedia services
  • Develop best practices
  • Initiate process improvements
  • Measure metrics
  • Act as technical expert to ParlExperts’ clients and prospects
  • Hire, mentor, and train team members
  • Keep up to date on industry developments
  • Provide escalation for project-based issue resolution

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Five years in localization/translation engineering
  • Experience leading a technical team
  • Knowledge of CAT tools
  • Experience communicating with clients
  • Familiarity with internationalization issues

 

Client Development Manager

 

Role: The Client Development Manager is responsible for all aspects of acquiring and growing new clients for our translation services. This role includes prospecting and qualifying sales leads, managing a sales pipeline, processing and closing sales. Must have the ability to approach high-level decision-makers and make sales presentations to groups.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities working from leads you have developed or have been given
  • Lead in the development and client presentation of proposals that match our unique service offerings to clients' specific needs
  • Facilitate the negotiation of agreements with support from senior management that result in closed sales and quota attainment

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Translation service industry experience
  • Proven track record of closing sales proposals
  • Must be willing to prospect
  • Limited travel
